Birsrestha Mohammad Hamidur Rahman (2 February 1953 – 28 October 1971) was a sepoy in Bangladesh Army amid the Bangladesh Liberation War. For the boldness, valor, commitment to the reason for his homeland and preeminent forfeit, he was presented Bir Sreshtho by the Government of Bangladesh. Bir Shreshtha Hamidur Rahman Stadium in Jhenaidah area is named after him. A ship was named after him. A library and exhibition hall was worked in his memory and the town he was conceived in, Khordo Khalishpur has been renamed Hamid Nagar. Hamidur Rahman Degree College was named in his respect.
